Welcome to V-Data

V-data is a manufacturer of electronic instrumentation for government and industry. We specialize in annotating video with various sensor data and precision time derived from GPS or IRIG-B timecode. Our video annotators can insert edge-code into the video to save selected data in a machine-readable form, and can also decode the edge-code from previously recorded video to recover the data. The edge-code can also be read by software from a captured image. In support of our video annotators we offer a GPS-synchronized IRIG-B timecode generator, and various other products for interfacing, event-capturing, timing, and sequencing.

The following images illustrate how our VED-M is used to record GPS data and time. The VED-M will also read edge-code from previously recorded video and reproduce the GPS output for display on a moving map.
